HYGROMETERS FOR THE RAPID DETER-MINATION OF POWDER HUMIDITY
Suitable for determining the percentage of humidity in fine-ground materials used in the ceramic, cement, crushing mill and fodder industries, as well as in road building, foundries and every production process where materials are required to be ground to very small grain sizes. The operating principle is based on the reaction that takes place between water and processed calcium carbide (with which these instruments work) to generate acetylene gas. This generates a pressure that is proportional to the water content inside the reaction chamber of the instrument which is then read in percentage terms on the gauge connected
